Project "Education for Democracy

The Republic of Moldova started the democracy development only after collapse of USSR in 1991. Since that time the democratic traditions didn't settle down in the Moldovan society.
Only if each generation will share the democratic values and understand the significance of democracy, this form of government will be successful and stable.
In order to find out how democracy works we should study it. The evidence of the important role of democracy learning is the fact that totalitarian and authoritarian regimes try to establish the control over the information that is transferred to students in educational institutions and via the mass media. That is why we should take into account education for democracy as an important matter.
The aim of the project is to contribute to the development of young people into initiative and responsible citizens, familiar with the principles of democracy and capable to appreciate this form of governing.
